TransPeek is an iPhone and iPad app that translates whatever is on your screen, inside the app you are already using. Start it once and a floating window stays on top of every app: drag it next to a paragraph and it reads the block of screen beside it, showing each sentence above its translation with the rare words numbered and explained. For games, comics and video subtitles, save a fixed-region preset that reads only the spots you marked. Drag the Picture-in-Picture window over a webpage, an ebook, a chat or a video. It reads the block of screen directly below it (or above it, near the bottom edge) and translates as you scroll — no switching apps, no screenshots. Pick a 3:2 window that fits more sentences or a 2:1 window that covers less.
Each sentence is shown with its translation right under it, at the same size and told apart by weight, so you can check the original as easily as the translation. When a passage does not fit, the text shrinks first, then drops source lines, then pages every few seconds.
Words that are rare for your level are highlighted in the original and in the translation with matching numbers, with a short meaning when the translation does not make the match obvious. Set the rarity threshold and your reader level (such as CET-4 for English) per language; each word is marked once per window.
Mark the spots once: pick a screenshot of the app, let TransPeek suggest the text areas, adjust them, and save the preset with its language pair and window style. Start it any time and only those rectangles are read. Since 1.5.1 the window takes the shape of your regions — wide for a subtitle strip, tall for a column of speech bubbles.
Both modes are App Shortcuts: say it to Siri, add it to a shortcut, find it in Spotlight, or put a round button in Control Center. The fixed-region shortcut can name the preset to start. iOS still asks you to confirm Start Broadcast — that step belongs to the system.
Screen frames are read with Apple Vision on your device and translated with Apple's Translation framework. Nothing on your screen is uploaded, there is no account, no third-party analytics and no ads. Language packs download once from Apple; after that translation works offline.
